    RIP, Steve Jobs

    Steven Jobs

    Steve Jobs

Like a lot of people, I’m a fan of Apple Computer. I buy their products, I own stock – I even worked there in college as an intern in their Customer Relations Department (one of the best years of my life). If cut, I know I’d bleed six colors (*). I never knew Jobs personally – he was still in “exile” when I was at Apple, instead working during the end of Michael Spindler’s tenure. But enough of the full-timers I worked with – friends even now – have shared stories, and there’s more than a few stories about him online. All of them awesome. All of them inspiring. When he stepped down in August, he looked a little bit… less Steve. Now the world knows why.

Thanks for being insanely great, Steve.

    Apple's "App Wall" at WWDC…

appwall.jpgTechCrunch seems to be the only website even mentioning Apple’s cool “App Wall”, which was setup at the WWDC in San Francisco. The icons pulse and such when an application is purchased, but the data isn’t shown in real time. It does, however, show every icon available, which is pretty impressive.
I’m still kinda irked that I couldn’t go this year….
(Photo stolen from the Tech Crunch article, but it’s THEIR photo. Really)

    Would you believe…

Trying not to offend: Stuck at apple
It’s only a week or so old, but the glass elevator at the Apple Store Fifth Avenue got stuck with some folks inside it. Apparently they weren’t too traumatized by the ordeal, but it turns out they weren’t offered iPod minis as consolation prizes. That’s just too bad.

    iPod and me

So, I saw the new iPod commercial tonight (online at Apple’s site (requires QuickTime 5)). You know what? I can dance like that guy. I should be in Apple’s commercials, damn it. I dance worse. MUCH worse. Embarrisingly worse. Steve Jobs, are you listening??? Hire me to be your dancin’ fool!
