    Commenting offline

So, I’ve noticed that there hasn’t been any comment spam on the site for a while – like since I made the change to MT 4.1. Upon trying to comment on something myself, I realized that there is a problem: you can’t comment.
I’m trying to figure it out, and when it’s working, then, well, you’ll be able to comment.
    Joy.

And then the other shoe dropped

Trouble with the upgrade? You bet. I haven’t figured out what the problem is, but I believe it’s something to do with one of my entries – a misplaced character that’s making the server go all weird when I try to publish the site. i’ll be working on it tonight, but who knows how long it will take or what, ultimately, will fix it.
And no, Lee, I will NOT just switch to EE :) .

    Thanks Mena!

Looking at my referrer logs again…. This page is coming up a lot. Mena is co-author of MoveableType, the software I use to run this so-called blog. Anyway, I’ve been checking her blog for a while (or since I started doing the beta testing of MT), and she had a contest, which I entered – color in a picture. The 2 images I sent her are, oddly enough, listed as the top 2 entries (’cause Adam’s at the start of the alphabet, natch!). I’ve been getting a lot of hits from that page.
So, is there a point to all this? Probably not. I just wanted to thank Mena for the extra hits – my blog is read by about 3 people including me, so the extra exposure sure doesn’t hurt. Now if I could just get some content….

    welcome weblogs.com viewers

I’m testing Moveable Type’s Weblogs.com pinging ability. It seems to be working just fine (Thanks Ben and Mena!).
My next task is to integrate this blog into the site, and keep the original Radio based blog going on – that’s where most of the stuff will go. I’m doing this part just so I can update the home page easily – BBEdit is cool and all, but moving blocks of text isn’t something I want to deal with right now.
BTW – have a job you want to offer me? let me know!
